Mission To Honduras: March 2009

Trip Goals:
1. To go and make disciples in Honduras
2. To use our unique gifts & abilities to meet a need
3. To put ourselves in a position for God to teach us, change us, and grow us a little more like Christ.
Trip Requirements…. You must be willing to:
1. Trust God and take risks
2. Love people
3. Work hard
4. Be flexible
Steps to Take:
1. Apply Online (directions below)
2. Talk to your professors / employer. I recommend taking the day before and the day after off from school and work.
3. Begin the process of getting/renewing your passport if needed. The U.S. State Department warns that processing for passports may take as long as two-and-a-half months due to new passport requirements. Passport Information.
4. Start brainstorming possible supporters and collecting addresses. The approximate cost of the trips is $1500. Could be a little more, could be a little less.
5. Download (and print) the Training Manual.
6. Recruit a friend to come
7. Write support letters (Sample), include a response card (Sample) and a stamped envelope with your address.
8. Call sponsors to follow-up your support letter
9. Send support to GCLA using the Support Form.
10. Send thank you letters to your sponsors, inviting them to join you in prayer about specific needs and challenges of the trip.

3. TBA – Support Raising Training Meeting
4. TBA – Send support letters
5. TBA – Q&A Meeting
6. TBA – Money due to GCLA for plane tickets
7. TBA – Puppet Training Workshop
