Between March 24 and April 1, 2007, twenty-four people from Columbia, Missouri, left the cold, wet weather of Missouri to head to hot, dry, Choluteca, Honduras.
The team was composed of college students, college graduates, young adults, and some a bit older. Some had been on mission trips before, some had never been out of the country before.
But each and every member of the team brought their unique talents and gifts to Honduras, in order to let God use them to touch the people in Choluteca.
By the end of the trip:
10 people accepted Christ as their savior
hundreds of kids got shoes on their feet, some for the very first time
a baby in serious condition smiled for the first time, and she just might live
prison inmates were touched by God’s love
hope and relief are on their way for people with AIDS in Choluteca
relationships that are going to last an eternity were built
malnourished children were being fed
people were loving and being loved in return
puppet shows were used to reach kids with the gospel
one house got a fresh coat of paint indoors & out, another house got a new roof, and a third was started with the walls almost completed by the end of the week
a tortilla factory that employs 25 people got some much needed maintenance to keep it in business
a hospital received over 150 sheets and oodles of baby blankets
a new bakery is opening to provide new jobs to single moms in Limón
an entrepreneur got a loan to get her clothing re-sale business off the ground
Obviously, this wasn’t all because of us. God is doing great things in Choluteca, and is drawing many organizations, groups and individuals to join in the work there.

Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed;
for I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe, even if you were told.
