During my first visit to Choluteca in March 2007, I met Rosita for the first time. She was only a few years old then, yet she looked like she was only months old. She was severely malnourished. A Gift of Painting

After painting Luz’s house, we were on a roll.
Charlie and Alan had an idea. In their time here, they have grown very close to Sonia, one of the women involved with Casa Hogar. They wanted to bless her in a unique way. Sonia lives in Limon, a poverty stricken community just outside of Choluteca. She hosts activities at her house, but has always wanted it to look a little nicer. Her house is made out of cement blocks, making the entire color of the inside of the house is gray. Continue reading A Gift of Painting

Luz’s House by Aimee Paule
Luz’s house was the first house built on the Casa Hogar land. A team from The Rock came earlier this year helped to paint the house a light yellow color and finish with the construction. Last week the Casa Hogar Team added the finishing touches to her house- a light green color in the entrance ways. Casa Hogar Land

Today we went to the Casa Hogar land. This is the actual land where the orphanage is located. The construction of the orphanage is finally completed. Now there is the inside work to be done.
