“Choluteca, Hot as Hecka”

I’ve been hearing that there’s a pretty bad heat wave going on in Honduras right now. As it is, Choluteca is the second hottest city in the country, but El Nino is doing some interesting things, and it’s been super hot recently. The forecast today in Cholu is 104 degrees. That’s hot, people!

Hopefully the worst of it will pass before we get there, but no guarantees on that. So please be prepared. 

• Pack light-weight, light-colored clothes. Bring a hat.
• Start drinking plenty of water now to prepare your body to stay hydrated.
• While we’re there, take it easy on soda & coffee, drink plenty of water.
• Take your sunscreen seriously! Sunburn messes with your body’s ability to handle heat & even mild burn can leave you susceptible to heat illness.
